• Why Do Flight Paths Look Curved?

When flying from *Abu Dhabi to Los Angeles*, you might expect a straight path across the Atlantic or Mediterranean. In reality, the flight takes a curved route over Iran, Russia, the North Pole, and Canada before reaching the US west coast.

The reason? The Earth is *spherical*, and the shortest distance between two points on a sphere is called a *Great Circle Route*—a curved line on flat maps, but actually the most direct path.

    Flat maps are misleading
Projections like the *Mercator map* distort distances and shapes. A route that appears curved is actually shorter, while a "straight" line on the map may be longer.

Why do planes take this route?
    - Shorter distance
    - Less flight time
    - Lower fuel consumption
    - Reduced operating costs
    - Sometimes to catch favorable jet streams

    Ancient knowledge
Muslim scholars like *Al-Biruni* and *Al-Idrisi* understood Earth's shape and calculated such paths centuries ago for navigation and determining directions.

So, what looks strange on a flat map is actually the most *efficient and direct path* on our spherical Earth.

  • Istanbul Airport (IST) has achieved an impressive milestone: it is now the most connected airport in the world, with direct flights to 310 international destinations. This vast air network makes it a true global hub, connecting Europe, Asia, Africa and even parts of the Americas quickly and efficiently.

Despite this, IST only ranks 7th in the world ranking for passenger movement. In other words, although it is the absolute leader in connectivity, there are still other airports with a higher volume of travelers, such as Atlanta (USA), Dubai and London-Heathrow.

This difference shows that connectivity is not the same as volume. While airports like Atlanta concentrate domestic flights and local passengers, Istanbul focuses on connecting between continents, serving as a strategic point for international stopovers.

The airport's success is also linked to the growth of Turkish Airlines, one of the companies that flies the most to different countries in the world.

  • Thousands of Palestinians from Rafah and Khan Younis were displaced on the second day of Eid al-Fitr, heading toward central Gaza and carrying only a few belongings, following “evacuation” warnings from the Israeli army.

Israel’s military on Monday issued sweeping evacuation orders covering Rafah and nearby areas, indicating it could soon launch another major ground invasion in Gaza’s south.

People and children along the migration route appeared worn out from exhaustion, with some travelled by foot or by bike, while others pushed makeshift carts loaded with belongings.

Donkey-pulled carts rolled down streets next to trucks piled high with blankets, mattresses and other household items.

  • Subhan Allah this is a picture for the earth taken from mars
Allah says " We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that this ˹Quran˺ is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is a Witness over all things? " Surah Fussilat 53
Allah also say " We built the universe with ˹great˺ might, and We are certainly expanding ˹it˺." Surah Adh Dhariyat 47
and in surah Qaf Allah says " Have they not then looked at the sky above them: how We built it and adorned it ˹with stars˺, leaving it flawless? " Surah Qaf verse 6

  • Lamine Yamal for Ramadan's fast: "Yes, it is a matter of faith in your religion. I believe in my religion, and I am healthy enough to fast.

I wake up at 5am to pray and drink something with electrolytes because they help the body stay hydrated throughout the day.

Fasting does not affect my performance. The club is fully prepared for this and assures us all we need to perform 100%"

    GÜN TAKASI ( PENCERE )

Urfa'da Halil-ü Rahaman'a girişte sağ tarafta Rızvaniye medresesinin ilk odasının Halil-ü Rahman'a bakan tarafında yan yana yedi taka (pencere) vardır.

    Cuma Yine Cuma idi

    Cumartesi : Seb

    Pazar : Elahadu

    Pazartesi : İsnain

    Salı : Seleta

    Çarşamba : Erbe'e

    Perşembe : Hamis

    Rızvaniye Külliyesi ile ilgili bir not daha;
Topkapı sarayında bile Kur'an tilaveti durdurulmuş ama Yapıldığından bu güne kadar Rızvaniye Camisinde cüz ( mukabele ) hiç kesilmeden her İkindi Namazı sonrası devam etmiştir ve halen devam etmektedir.

  • This iconic photograph is still considered one of the most-terrifying space photographs to date. Astronaut Bruce McCandless II became the first human being to do a spacewalk without a safety tether linkd to a spacecraft. In 1984, he floated completely untethered in space with nothing but his Manned Maneuvering Unit keeping him alive.
