  • Why do Muslims perform circumbulation around the Ka'bah?

Why do Muslims perform Tawaf around the Ka’bah? What is the significance of going around this Old House? The answer to this question must start with a look at who we are? Why are we here? And finally, the answer to all the previous questions points toward where we are going from here.

There are physical laws in this universe that we are continuously discovering. Among them is the law of revolution, which applies both to celestial bodies and to atoms and cells. They all revolve around a center and their revolution is usually counterclockwise.

Everything in the universe must follow physical laws except human beings who are created with consciousness and with free will. The Earth has no choice but to follow its orbit around the sun, and our solar system has no choice but to follow its orbit around the center of the galaxy. In following these physical laws they are obeying their Creator. Only human beings have a conscious choice. They are aware of their ability to choose and consequently, they can obey or disobey. When we Muslims orbit the Ka’bah, we surrender our will to our Creator and willingly become like the other celestial bodies of the universe orbiting in harmony His Old House. The Ka’bah is the first house ever built for the sole purpose of worshipping God, our Creator. It is thought to have been built originally by Adam. It was later rebuilt by Abraham and his son Ishmael long before the Temple in Jerusalem was built by Salomon.

People keep coming from the four corners of the earth to surrender themselves to their creator and orbit around the Ka’bah seven times in order to fulfill the essence of Islam (surrendering your will to God’s will).

So, who are we? We are human beings created by God. We are here to go through a journey that will not last for long and while we are here we face situations that require us to make choices. We are responsible for the choices we make and we will answer for them to our Creator. So our final destination from here is toward the One that created us in the first place and is able to gather us again to a Day of Judgment.

These assumptions are from the eternal message of God to us found in the Torah given to Moses, the Gospel given to Jesus Christ, and the Qur’an given to Mohammad.

  • The Drunk Basket

•Bars in 1960s Turkey used to hire workers to carry "too drunk" people back home

•These people were called küfeci and
To be so drunk you couldn’t walk was called küfe.

•Many bars in Turkey would often employ basket men whose sole purpose was to take patrons home when they were too drunk to stand up.

•Most of these men would work as porters during the day and then would work as basket men at night to earn some extra money.

  • Türkiye’s largest warship and the world’s first unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) carrier, have been delivered to the country’s navy on Monday. The move, which will bolster Turkish naval capacities, also makes it one of the few nations in the world with a domestically-built aircraft carrier. Built in Istanbul-based shipyard Sedef, the ship, named TCG Anadolu, can carry helicopters, drones, land vehicles, light warcraft, and personnel.

Speaking at the delivery ceremony on Monday in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said TCG Anadolu, where the largest and heaviest helicopters and drones can land and take off on, is the world’s first warship in its field. “The TCG Anadolu...is the world’s first warship in its field where UAVs can land and take off,” Erdogan said. Turkish UCAVs Bayraktar TB3 and Kizilelma drones, and light attack aircraft Hurjet, can land on and take off from the ship, Erdogan added.

The TCG Anadolu ship, produced within the scope of the Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship Project, will be able to transfer at least a battalion-sized force to the designated location with its own logistics support, without the need for home base support. TCG Anadolu will carry four mechanised, two landing craft air-cushion (LCAC), and two personnel landing vehicles (LCVP), as well as aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles. With a length of 231 metres (some 758 feet) and a width of 32 metres (105 feet), the full load displacement equals some 27,000 tonnes.

  • The Elite Soldiers Of The Ottoman Empire, Janissaries!

The Janissaries of the Ottoman Empire emerged as one of the most powerful military forces in the world. They were highly-trained fighters.

They played a significant role in the conquest of Constantinople. Nothing seemed capable of stopping the Janissaries’ career of conquest.

An Italian traveler named Paolo Giovio once described these ferocious warriors:

    “Their discipline under arms is due to their justice and severity, which surpasses that of the ancient Romans. They surpass our soldiers for three reasons;

    1) They obey their commanders without question.

    2) They seem to care nothing at all for their lives in battle.

    3) They go for a long time without bread and water."

Janissaries were very devout Muslims. Their primary purpose in life was Jihad only and fighting against the enemies of Islam.

  • Yilbaşı kutlamalarında New York’ tan Londra, Rotterdam, Singapur, Sidney’e kadar, sürü drone kullanılarak yapılan drone sanat gösterileri.

Drone art shows using swarm drones from New York to London, Rotterdam, Singapore, Sydney during New Year's Eve celebrations.

Drone art (also known as drone display or drone light show) is the use of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), usually quadcopters, with light fixtures attached to fly in a coordinated fashion. They are usually equipped with multiple LEDs and the screen is kept at night. The first drone demonstration was presented in 2012 in Linz/Austria, where Ars Electronica Futurelab first introduced SPAXELS (short for "space elements"). Demonstrations can be recreational, where drones can use flocking or swarming behavior. Drones can also be coordinated to produce images. Using this developing technology, screens were also used for advertising purposes.
