  • A Historic Move After 125 Years!

The Hejaz Railway, first launched by Sultan Abdul Hamid II in 1900 to connect Istanbul to Mecca and Medina, is being revived after 125 years!

Türkiye, Jordan, and Syria have signed a protocol for reconstruction. A separate protocol with Saudi Arabia will follow soon.

The new line will stretch from Istanbul → Damascus → Amman → Medina, aiming to provide safe, affordable travel for pilgrims and boost international trade.

Originally completed in 1908, the railway was disrupted during World War I, but now it will return as a modern link of faith, history, and commerce.

  • The Ottoman 16th Century Ali Macar Map (Ali Macar Reis'in Dünya Haritası)

The Ali Macar Map is a striking example of 16th-century Ottoman cartography, created by the renowned Ottoman navigator Ali Macar Reis. This world map, dated to 1567, reflects the rich seafaring tradition of the Ottoman Empire and offers a unique perspective on global geography during the height of Ottoman naval power.

    The map illustrates:

The Mediterranean Sea, the heart of the Ottoman maritime empire.
Portions of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, showing the regions the Ottoman Empire was directly or indirectly involved with.
An artistic representation of world geography that reflects the knowledge of the time, with some areas detailed and others more speculative, reflecting global exploration.
Ali Macar Reis’ map exemplifies the Ottoman Empire’s sophisticated understanding of navigation and geography, influenced by both Islamic and European cartographic traditions.

  • The Elite Soldiers Of The Ottoman Empire, Janissaries!

The Janissaries of the Ottoman Empire emerged as one of the most powerful military forces in the world. They were highly-trained fighters.

They played a significant role in the conquest of Constantinople. Nothing seemed capable of stopping the Janissaries’ career of conquest.

An Italian traveler named Paolo Giovio once described these ferocious warriors:

    “Their discipline under arms is due to their justice and severity, which surpasses that of the ancient Romans. They surpass our soldiers for three reasons;

    1) They obey their commanders without question.

    2) They seem to care nothing at all for their lives in battle.

    3) They go for a long time without bread and water."

Janissaries were very devout Muslims. Their primary purpose in life was Jihad only and fighting against the enemies of Islam.

  • WRITTEN ON THE TRAIN..
    "ESSELAMU ALEYKE YA RASULLAH"

    “My Prophet is buried.
surrender the lands to the infidels without wudu
I won't do it..!" for exactly 72 days.
and grasshoppers in the desert at 50 degrees
British, who kept his army afloat by eating
The legend that did not let his army into Medina
Commander Fahrettin Pasha! Fahreddin Pasha loaded all the holy relics in Medina on this train with the words "ESSELAMU ALEYKE YA RASOLULLAH" in front of it and recorded them all in a Medina notebook and sent them to Istanbul...

The holy relics are now in safe hands, on display in the Topkapi Palace. If Fahreddin Pasha had not brought it, the Sacred Relics would be on display at the London Museum today! His other nickname is Desert Tiger!

    Rest in peace..
