Miraç Kandili is the name of the blessed night in which our Prophet was taken to travel from the Masjid-i Haram in Mecca to the Masjid-i-Aqsa in Jerusalem and from there to the skies. As a matter of fact, Allah Almighty says in the Qur'an; “Exalted is Allah, who took his servant Muhammad from Masjid al-Haram one night to Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He hears and sees.” (Isra; 1) commanded.
It is accepted that the Miraj took place on the 27th night of the month of Rajab, one year or sixteen months before the Prophet's migration to Medina. According to rumors, our Prophet was taken from the Kaaba at night and taken to Masjid al-Aqsa on a mount called Burak. Our Prophet entered the Masjid al-Aqsa square from the place under the al-Aqsa Mosque and passed to the area where the Dome of the Rock is located, where Hz. Jesus, St. Moses and St. He met with Zekeriyya 'alaihis-salam. He led all the Prophets in prayer in this area, and from there he ascended to the sky from the area where the Miraç Minbar is located.
