Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, the D-8 Secretary-General, participated in the 19th Session of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Meeting of the Foreign Ministers, hosted by the Government of Iran in Tehran on 24 June 2024.

Attending upon the invitation from H.E. Ali Bagheri, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, the #D8SG delivered remarks at the ACD Meeting, delineating an update of the #D8. The #D8SG also reiterated the call to forge closer collaboration between the #D8 and #ACD, considering the aligned interest to pursue the two organizations’ shared objectives.

While in Tehran, the #D8SG also paid a courtesy call to the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran to present the progress of the #D8.

The D-8 Secretariat, led by Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, the #D8 Secretary-General, attended the 7th TRT World Forum in Istanbul today, Friday, 8-Dec.

The #D8 team took note and subscribe to the statement delivered by His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the opening session of the Forum.

Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, the #D8 Secretary-General, attended the 39th Session of the #COMCEC Ministerial Session in Istanbul on Monday, 04-Dec. The #D8SG attended the Session upon the invitation from the Government of Türkiye.

The #D8SG subscribed to the statement of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, delivered at the opening session, on the expression of solidarity for Palestine and the call for the COMCEC to continue its contribution to Palestine.

The #D8SG’s participation in the 39th COMCEC Ministerial Meeting was a valuable opportunity to broaden the #D8 network to support its economic cooperation.

Less than a day after arriving back to Istanbul from his official visit to Indonesia, Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, the #D8SG, attended the World Halal Summit & Expo in Istanbul this Saturday (25-Nov).

The #D8 SecGen delivered remarks at the Summit, highlighting the vast potential of the halal industry that can and must be tapped by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and #D8. He suggested the two organizations to take the driving seat in developing global halal industry and make ‘halal’ as a global brand.

The Halal Summit & Expo are organized by the The Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.

The #D8 and SMIIC have a cooperation MoU, which also covers development of halal industry.

İslam Ülkeleri, devletleri, cemaatleri, STK'ları arasında kurulacak Hakiki bir Birlik ve ittifak şu altyapıya sahip olmalıdır :

* İslami eğitimi tahkiki imana dayandırmak
* Faizi ilga edip, Zekatı devlet eliyle uygulamak
* Gayrimüslim ülkeler ve hükümetler ile barış içinde yaşamak

İslam Birliği'ne, islam kardeşliğine, ümmetin birlik ve tesanüd ve ittifakına çalışmak, işbirliği projelerini desteklemek Her Müslümanın üzerine Farz'dır.

Bu zamanın en büyük farz vazifesi, ittihad-ı İslâmdır.
