He was one of the most famous tattoo artists in Japan and was dealing with top actors, celebrities and even the bosses of the Japanese Yakuza Mafia. In 2006, while walking on a street in Tokyo, he met Shaykh Ni'matullāh Khalīl Ibrāhīm who studied under scholars from the era of Sultān 'Abdul Ḥamīd ll who then gave him a paper inviting him to the religion of Islām. Takazawa took the paper and thought it was a letter from a fan, but when he read it, he was moved by it, so he contacted the author of the letter and began to learn more about Islām before deciding to convert to Islām and change his name to "Abdullāh".
