It is nearly impossible to collect and verify information under the current conditions, but at least 17,000 children are believed to be unaccompanied and separated and approximately 4,000 children are likely missing under the rubble.

Over 100 people were killed, and dozens more injured, after the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked the village of Wad al Noora in Sudan’s Gezira state on June 5, officials said.

UNICEF Executive Director Catherina Russell said in a statement that at least 35 children were killed and 20 others injured during the attacks.

On June 6, Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council accused the RSF of committing a massacre in the village and killing “a large number of innocents,” while the RSF said they attacked three camps housing elements of the army and intelligence personnel.

Madani Resistance Committee, a local pro-democracy activists group, put the toll at “more than 104,” and accused the paramilitaries of looting Wad al Noura during the attacks.

The war between the RSF and the Sudanese army, which broke out in April 2023, has wrecked the country as clashes spread across multiple cities and pushed its population to the brink of famine.

More than 14,000 people have been killed and thousands more have been wounded, with hundreds of thousands displaced.

Sudan is at immediate risk of famine.

2.5 million risk dying of hunger before September, and over 4 million children are at risk of malnutrition.

Athletes, celebrities, influencers have joined more than 30 million people across the world to share this AI-generated image on Instagram.

“It’s possibly circumventing some of the automated moderation on the platform, because it’s an AI-generated image and there isn’t anything in there that is massively dangerous or controversial,” Matt Navarra, a social media consultant and industry analyst, told NBC News.

Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, has been accused of removing videos filmed by Palestinian journalists covering the Israeli carnage in Gaza. An Instagram spokesperson admitted the firm deleted some content because of its violent and graphic nature.

In the past few months, the “All Eyes on Rafah” slogan has been used by multiple organisations as Save the Children, Oxfam, Americans for Justice in Palestine Action, Jewish Voice for Peace and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, to protest against Israel’s invasion of Gaza’s Rafah city.

Thousands across the world took to the streets to protest against Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza following the deadly Israeli attack on a tent camp in Rafah on May 26.

Many of the victims – most of whom were women and children – were ‘burned alive’ in the attack that killed at least 45 people and injured many others.

At least 35,000 people have been killed by Israel in its war on Palestine’s Gaza since last October.

Seventy percent of them have been babies, children and women, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Many thousands of others are still missing, presumed to be dead under the rubble of Gaza.

According to the United Nations, Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Gaza has internally displaced 85% of the territory’s population. The enclave is also suffering from acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine – a direct result of Israel’s crippling blockade on the besieged territory – with 60% of Gaza’s infrastructure damaged or destroyed.

Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
