  • A few years ago, the harvest of grain was done with sickles. Thousands of farmers were entering the work of harvesting during this time.
They worked in those years, during harvest time, almost everywhere, with scythes. they worked and sweated, in the liopiri. Entire fields of wheat could be seen reaped in a few hours and the sheaves or sheaves arranged. one could see the sheaves tied upright, with the sheaves bent around.
The sickle still exists and reminds us of the suffering and sweat of our mother.
The tortured and aching hands... but no.....

  • Lesson of the day: "This man was working with his horse when there was a huge storm ... everyone ran everywhere he saw to hide from the storm. Yet he didn't move beside the horse, he stood beside him and hugged him tightly. They stood together in the pouring rain. .When the rain stopped, the man noticed that we were watching him, then with a kind smile he only said that he should take care of his friend.Lesson: Do not forget those who are by your side in the storm, because in the sun everyone can love.

  • When you think of European culture, one of the first things that may come to your mind is the renaissance. Many of the roots of European culture can be traced back to that glorious time of art, science, commerce and architecture. But did you know that long before the renaissance there was a place of humanistic beauty in Muslim Spain? Not only was it artistic, scientific and commercial, but it also exhibited incredible tolerance, imagination and poetry. Muslims, as the Spaniards call the Muslims, populated Spain for nearly 800 years. As you’ll see, it was their civilization that enlightened Europe and brought it out of the dark ages to usher in the renaissance. Muslims entered Europe from the South Led by Tariq bin Zeyad. Abd al-Rahman I, a survivor of a family of caliphs of the Muslim empire, reached Spain in the mid-700’s. He became the first Caliph of Al-Andalus, the Muslim part of Spain, which occupied most of the Iberian Peninsula. He also set up the Umayyad Dynasty that ruled Al-Andalus for over three-hundred years. (Grolier, History of Spain). Al Andalus means, “the land of the vandals,” from which comes the modern name Andalusia.
At first, the land resembled the rest of Europe in all its squalor. But within two-hundred years the Muslims had turned Al-Andalus into a bastion of culture, commerce and beauty.
“Irrigation systems imported from Syria and Muslimia turned the dry plains... into an agricultural cornucopia. Olives and wheat had always grown there. The Muslims added pomegranates, oranges, lemons, aubergines, artichokes, cumin, coriander, bananas, almonds, pams, henna, woad, madder, saffron, sugar-cane, cotton, rice, figs, grapes, peaches, apricots and rice.” (Burke, 1985, p. 37)
By the beginning of the ninth century, Muslim Spain was the gem of Europe with its capital city, Cordova. With the establishment of Abd al-Rahman III - “the great caliphate of Cordova” - came the golden age of Al-Andalus. Cordova, in southern Spain, was the intellectual center of Europe. At a time when London was a tiny mud-hut village that “could not boast of a single streetlamp” (Digest, 1973, p. 622), in Cordova…
“…there were half a million inhabitants, living in 113,000 houses. There were 700 mosques and 300 public baths spread throughout the city and its twenty-one suburbs. The streets were paved and lit.” (Burke, 1985, p. 38)
“The houses had marble balconies for summer and hot-air ducts under the mosaic floors for the winter. They were adorned with gardens with artificial fountains and orchards”. (Digest, 1973, p. 622) “Paper, a material still unknown to the west, was everywhere. There were bookshops and more than seventy libraries.” (Burke, 1985, p. 38). during these years major works of the architecture of al-Andalus were built and enlarged, such as the palatine city of Madinat al-Zahra as an example And the Cordoba Mosque, we will talk about it in the next article in shaa Allah.

  • A World Cup fan writes:

“One of the beauties of the World Cup in Qatar is that they made the praying place of glass on all sides, so non-Muslims can see the prayer

Today, while I was at Al-Bayt Stadium, I went to pray isha, and after I left, I found a foreigner standing watching. He called out to me and told me:

How many times a day do you do this?
    - So I told him five imposed, and in addition, the increase in wages
    - Ok, when are the prayer times?
    - No, they are not fixed times on the hour, but according to the movement of the sun
    - How ?
    - I opened the application for prayer times and showed him that every few days the hour varies, and I started explaining to him each prayer when its time, and he was amazed and surprised.
“I’m sorry, can I open the camera and you repeat all what you said again?”

O Allah! Honor Islam and Muslims everywhere

  • Who is Allah?

According to Islamic belief, the word “Allah” is the perfect description of the “One God” of monotheism .Humble submission to His Will, Divine Ordinances and Commandments is the pivot of the Muslim faith. “He is the only God, creator of the universe, and the judge of humankind.”,”He is unique and inherently one, all-merciful and omnipotent.” The Qur’an declares “the reality of Allah, His inaccessible mystery, His various names, and His actions on behalf of His creatures.”

In Islamic tradition, there are 99 Names of God “The best names”, each of which evoke a distinct characteristic of Allah.

    99 Names of God

All these names refer to Allah, the supreme and all-comprehensive divine name. Among the 99 names of God, the most famous and most frequent of these names are “the Merciful” and “the Compassionate” Allah has sent down miracles, revelations and messengers to give clear proofs He exists and more important, what we should do once we come to this realization.

Allah has sent prophets and messengers with many proofs throughout the ages for people to be able to clearly see with their own eyes and to be able to use their own senses the miracles and proofs pointing to the fact, Allah does in fact, exist.

Some other religions teach “God is everywhere.” This is actually called “pantheism” and it is the opposite of our belief system in Islam. Allah tells us clearly there is nothing, anywhere in the universe like Him similar to his likeness, nor is He ever in His creation.
Allah tells us “Allah is capable of doing anything He Wills to do.” It should be noted in Islam we understand Allah never Wills to do anything that would make Him no longer be Allah. That is to say, He would never die as this would mean He is no longer “The Eternally Alive” (one of His characteristics mentioned in the Holy Quran).

He created us for the purpose of worshiping Him, Alone and without any partners.
Allah tells us He is Pure, Loving, and absolutely Just in every respect. He says He is the Best of Judges. He also tells us the life we are in here is a test. He has created everything existing and He created whatever happens as well. There is nothing in this existence except what He has created. He also says in the Quran He created evil (although He is not evil). He is using this as one of the many tests for us.

All religions originated with Allah and then people began to add or take away from the teachings so as to take control over each other.

Allah does not force anyone to submit to Him. He has laid out a clear path and then made it known to them the two ways (Heaven or Hell). The person is always free to make his or her own choice.

Allah = Has no gender (not male and not female)
“He” is used only out of respect and dignity – not for gender
Allah = Always singular – Never plural
“We” is used only as the “Royal WE” just as in English for royalty
Allah = Means “The Only One to be Worshipped”
