More than surpassing Zheng He with about 50,000 km and Marco Polo with 24,000 km . Over a period of thirty years, Ibn Battuta visited most of the Old World, including Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, China, and the Iberian Peninsula (Southern Iberia which was under Morocco's rule; from 711 AD to 1492 AD). He left home at the age 18 and was only back at the age of 45. 👉 First journey: 1325-1332 👉Second journey: 1332-1346 👉In the year 1349, he was finally at home in Tangier, Morocco, but found that his parents passed away 15 years ago. 👉Nothing to keep him home...so, he went on a new journey, and the final one: 1349-1354.
